| Personal Profile: | CONTEMPORARY HANDMADE JEWELLERY DESIGNER. Jewellery designing and making was a natural progression for me, after trying my hand at a variety of different things. I studied at Wolverhampton University in 2000, achieving a BA (Hons) in Three Dimensional Design and developed many skills in those three years, but I mainly focused of costume designing and decided to continue with costume design by completing an MA in Fashion Design at University of Central England, where I also experimented with textiles and surface design. After the course I didn't feel that costume designing was my real passion anymore, so I began thinking about what I could design next. Jewellery seemed the most exciting and enjoyable prospect, and Muddle Jewellery was born. Since then I've been taking pleasure in learning and developing many techniques in jewellery making and after achieving business support from the Princes Trust I'm able to keep expanding on them. Searching for new beads and charms to use allow me to constantly explore new ideas and ensure my designs are always fresh and contemporary. I now take on commissions for people who want something designed, completely unique to them.
