Online English language teacher for non-native speakers and students of English. Online tutor and teacher, using skype or msn messenger with whiteboard facility, and optional webcam, plus email. I have experience of working with a wide range of ages and abilities, offering tutoring, homework help and support in general education. I can also offer Common Entrance tutoring in several school subjects, and GCSE in English, Maths, General Science, Media and Communication studies.
Online teaching has benefits for students who may lack confidence in certain areas or subjects, as the rapport between a tutor and student is different to the traditional classroom environment, and can be used to enhance or supplement a student's education. In my experience some parents may have difficulty helping with homework or school projects and coursework as a result of language differences, work schedules, or other commitments. Alternatively, parents may like to continue tuition for a few hours during school holidays, especially with exams approaching.
Another instance when online teaching can be beneficial is if a student has a disability, or is unable to attend school or education centre for any reason; or it can be used to supplement home teaching programmes. The internet adds variety and flexibility to a student's learning.
