Adding a mailing list to your website...

One of the most frequently asked questions I receive is how people can add a mailing list to their website when they have no technical knowledge of how to do so. I thought I'd post a couple of options here.

The good news is that there are many tools out there that don't require you to have any knowledge and will manage the whole process for you.

Leading candidates are constant contact, which lets you keep your list for free right up to around 100 people have joined it (from memory)

The other one many people use for mailing lists / autoresponder is aweber. Again this seems to be a well recommended, well used and solid performer; the cost is around $19 per month or less for longer periods of sign-up.

If you know of any other good mailing list tools or have any thoughts, please add them to this post

Dan

Those seem to be the ones that most people use; if attached to the selling of products I have heard that whilst not the cheapest option, 1 shopping cart is also a good performer.
