All PR is good PR?...

This is one of those things that seems to be a general truth of advertising, marketing and PR... but is it true?

I can think of quite a few high profile cases where this would not be the case, so why is it generally considered a truth I wonder...

I sit on the fence with this one. In the majority of cases, I'd say that all PR is good PR. However, if it were my company then I wouldn't be so sure.

Saying that, Gerald Ratner makes a nice wage doing the public speaking circuit talking about his own experiences with "bad" PR...
