Amazon Affiliates scheme - associates...

Just wondered if anyone had used the amazon affiliates scheme which I think is called Amazon associates...

It seems pretty easy to set up an account and then find relevant books etc and other items to link to as a result, and the commissions seem OK.

But I used to see it on lots of sites but now very few; so I wondered if people have tried it but found it doesn't actually work that well so now use other things instead?

If you know what you are doing you can make a lot of money from it. I made some money from it buy just driving paid traffic to amazon. Their commission is a bit crap if you ask me, you have to make a lot of sales to make a really "AVERAGE" commission. but the money is in the volume. People trust amazon and so many people buy from amazon if you get your cookie on their pc, you can make money.
