BBC Adverts to boots, sorry Boost Business....

Maybe we should all do what Boots PR did>> Boots got loads of FREE advertisements this last week on BBC TV (Who says the beeb don't have ads)?? they got more sales from the BBC than they would have got from £10,000 spent on adverts in the papers, to try to sell a new face cream to stop lines in faces, the BBC advertise Games, plus machines, Cars, yet they swear they will never drop licence fee because they do not want to take money for adverts, are they fools, or just drunk ? or is it us who are fools paying for BBC TV?
It seems very wrong to me that the BBC get away with such blatant adverts, while asking us Tax Payers for £200 per year to put our own television set on to watch rubbish they transmit to our homes.

The license fee... or as we definitely must start properly calling it, the license TAX is actually quite an evil in this day and age.

Basically we are subsidising the BBC to be able to ruin and destroy many businesses. Imagine how annoying it must have been if you ran a popular site on football, travel or any other information based service that was then completely trounced when the BBC with its massive resources came online. Worst of all, the owners of those small businesses that were put out of business by the BBC were themselves paying to be put out of competition by the BBC through their license fee. Essentially any small business that offered information of any kind online has to compete with the monopoly Beeb - the result - they all go out of business. If you run a site in a sector the BBC hasn't got its claws into yet, then it's surely only a matter of time before it does.

It is quite clear the license fee is fundamentally wrong in the modern world. BBC has a massive commercial arm. It has huge numbers of magazines etc. So why don't the only people who can do anything about it - MPs - vote against it? Well if Gordon Brown claims for his Sky Sports subscription a la the taxpayer, then it doesn't take a lot to work out who has been paying for MPs license fees all these years either...

We can at least now get access to what the MPs have been up to, but data such as what the BBC does with our money (such as paying Rossie huge sums of cash) never seems to get disclosed; don't we have a right to see how the Beeb is spending OUR money, and who is getting what salaries with it?

Yes you are very right, if everyone stood together and said NO, we will not pay any licence fee if millions of people stood together as one we could win the fight.
I hardly ever view the BBC or listen to radio, I pay loads for Sky which I do watch, so why on earth should I pay the BBC?
