I think the fastest is Google Chrome then Opera, Safari, FF, IE.

The problem with Chrome & Safari is security.

I use IE still in the main, but only because it takes effort to download and try the other ones!

Everyone you talk to seems to recommend a different browser, don't they! Can make it hard but I guess most people tend to stick with what they know best

I used to use IE until a few months back when there was news that someone had been able to hack into it or soemthing so I switched over to using FF.

If you wanted a more thorough list of stats, there are quite a few websites out there that show the average number of users per browser type. It does vary quite a lot from site to site however, and if you use google analytics or similar on your site you can simply look at the relevant stats to find the exact breakdown for your site.

I have to go with Firefox. I like the customisable options and its safety features.

Fast too.

I believe that Internet Explorer still comfortably has the most market share worldwide.

They have officially announced that Internet Explorer 6 is 'dead' recently I believe, which is good news for those that have to create websites that support / work in every web browser.
