Hello,

I'm willing to start an ecommerce bussiness, I want to sell RC toys all around the world. The thing is that my budget for developing a custom ecommerce platform is tight...
The day before I came across this website Bizoo.co.uk which is a free business directory and they also allow you to sell you products online ( in 5 minutes they say) for a small fee, depending on how many products you have.

I just want to ask you guys is anyone around here tried this website and what does it think? Is it any good?

Looking forward to your reply,

Andrew

Hello,

I do not know specificaly about that website, though I would recomend using its free directory as long as you dont have to link back to them. If you want to sell stuff for free use craigslist, you can also use e-bid (where you pay commision only when you sell it), and of course e-bay. E-bay is probably the easiest to sell on but it can get expensive if no one is buying since you have to pay to list. Ebay to me is still the best place to test the markets on new products in my opinion.

You say your budget is tight, well thats fine if you have lots of time, though time = money. It is not easy to start an e-commerce bussiness and make a success of it.

I started my bussiness about 10 months ago now, and only make a few sales a week to date. That is with me investing 60 hour a week into it.

Good luck on it, its possible if you stick to it.

Also you might want to check the legality of selling those toys in different countries, although a toy might be legal in india or china, it may not be legal in western countries due ot choking hazards, copywrite infringement radio frequancies, materials used etc etc.

If you can permit me to be a little cynical for a second, usually when new members turn up and their first post is about a site they have just 'come across' it is invariably their own site, or one they are linked to!
