Business strategy planning for 2007...

Setting Goals for Next Year
It's that time of year again where we all sit down and work out what we want to achieve in 2007: business goals, business challenges for next year and so on.

So how do you go about it... blank sheet of paper and ideas list, or do you follow some sort of structured format, for instance a list of questions that you go through each year to help prompt ideas for future goals and developments in your business?

Will be interesting to hear your ideas!

Dan

I tend to review in turn which elements went well last year and which elements not so well. I then work out ways to make the good bits even better and to improve on the bits that weren't quite so great.

Additionally I tend to include a couple of 'new' challenges each year. These could be additional offerings to customers for instance.

How's everyone's 2007 going so far - meeting your targets and goals, hopefully?

I have sometimes wondered - do those of you who run your own business create a performance plan for yourself and then give yourself a half yearly review against it and rate your own performance?
