I can supply you with a new domain name which can forward to your current domain name. There wont be any hosting costs involved just domain name registration, if you want more information please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kindest regards,

Malik

Hi Jacob

The way to do this would be to buy a new domain and - if the current one has any traffic or standing - re-direct it all across to the new site.

If you need any help just send me a message and I'll send you more detailed advice (free).

Thanks

Tim

Something to be added here is that your domain name should be short and easy to remember and people always remember the .com domains

If you are getting a new domain name, take the opportunity to put the most relevant keywords to your business in your url if you can, but keep it succinct and descriptive too.

If you had two domains with broadly the same content, but one had a keyword in the url and another didn't, would one actually perform better than the other purely because of that for a related search?

Tim - you normally answer questions like that yourself, not ask them

Some people believe that hyphenated domains work more in favour towards your rankings simply because some search engines do not use individual words found in compound words...

http://www.site-by-james.com/

vs

http://www.sitebyjames.com/

I picked the wrong one... as if I would ever rank for "site" or "by" or "james" anyways... maybe I'll rank for "james" someday... I know it... I can feeeeel it...
