Hi - I have just bought a subscription to an online accounting platform called Xero. Have you heard of this (you can Google). It looks pretty cool as handles international currencies, imports bank statements from HSBC etc. However I may need help setting up initial balances etc from someone here in the UK that has experience with Xero.
