Christmas is over, long live Christmas!...

Given that Christmas and the run up is always so busy for ecommerce sites, I just wondered if January and February are practically dead for them, or does business pick up again quite quickly?

From my limited experience, then yes orders do drop off at this time of the year but I think they soon pick up again.

The shops have introduced all sorts of measures to artificially inflate sales at particular times of the year, e.g. Valentines Day, fathers, mothers, grandparents, pets, uncle tom cobbly day etc etc!

The humble little one I have - buypashminashawls.co.uk - has had orders already this year, but will have to wait a few weeks yet until we see how much it has dropped off compared to the end of last year.
