There is a business directory on this website, but that might not be what you are asking?

If you talking about a sitemap, what I do is use a free download called Xenu , I would highly recomend this.

It will create a sitemap for you and you can just Cut and paste all the sitemap hyperlinks onto a new HTML page you call sitemap.html, put a link on your homepage for indexing.

Hope this was what you were looking for.

I think directory listing were useful about 3 years ago, now it is too late, and you will struggle to find people who will want to list.

I'm inclined to agree that the horse has bolted, in general, with directories. You can spend your life submitting to them with little affect - as ever, there are a few genuinely high quality directories, and it is worth spending all your time trying to get in those few rather than whittle away the hours submitting manually (or via paid software) to all the rest.

It's hard to keep up with what is 'in' and what is 'out' when it comes to the web and links and so forth - trends seem to change so quickly!

I think if you submit to all your local/regional directories even if you don't see business directly from those listing your website will at least appear more highly for local search results related to your business as you page rank will be higher.

In my opinion most directory entries are not really worth that much these days.

I think that in the past you could justify spending a day submitting to lots of directories but now I think there are soooo many of them that they are generally downgraded to passing on virtually zero pagerank.

It is true that there are a huge number of directories out there now, a sufficient number that if you were to submit to one a minute there are probably enough out there on the internet to keep you busy for the average human lifetime. Infact if they are being launched at the rate of one a minute, you would be kept busy forever

That said older, more established directories can still be useful. Speaking of which remember that every member here has a free entry into the About My Business directory. Members do occasionally get contacted for their services through the directory, so that to extent it has value.

There are many tools that will submit a site for you to lots of directories, say a 1000 or something, at very low cost: saves all the hassle of doing it manually.
