Dragons Den businesses and money management...

Watching the episodes in the current series of Dragons Den has made me realise how many businesses don't really have a clue what their numbers are - or at least all go painfully forgetful when it comes to the pressure situation that is the Den!

It is eye opening to see so many apparently intelligent people who don't even have a basic grasp of their figures - no wonder so many companies that think they are doing well are actually woefully in debt...

I wonder if this is something to do with people getting worse and worse at maths (in general) as school leavers?! Then again many of the offenders are from older generations!

People don't go on Dragons Den to get investment, they go on because they want the free marketing.

Shame the series is finished already - seems to be quicker every year!

Also intensely frustrating that Evan whats-his-name wastes about ten minutes of each show repeating exactly the same lines and the 'rules of the den'.
