E-commerce site funding?...By: Dean123 [9-July-08 4:27AM]3 posts |

Hi people, I have been running my own business in my hometown and I¡¯m wishing to offer my services to a wider range of customers, so I decided to get a domain, a server and some IT staff to run an online Business. I have spent some money at the moment and I read on several sites that big businesses spend money by the million! I wonder if I also have to spend this amount of money for a site with some e-commerce tools, member base and some news like http://usa.myTino.com for example. Thanks for your feedback.

It is hard to try friends and family cos they have their own work and not be so familiar with the website design.

Hi Dean - we have a system over here run by 'Business Link', they offer funding for e-commerce. Surely they offer the same sort of funding in the States? Try Googling business funding in your state...

Yes business link is another option, or regional funding is also often worth considering there are often very specific grants available for the right project...

Funding is very hard to secure for an ecommerce site, the key is to try and find a very specific fund to help entrepreneurs in the exact area you are looking to build your ecommerce store in.
