Ever been ripped off in business?...

There are many scams out there, a large number of which target not just individuals but also businesses, and particularly small business owners.

Whilst some of these can be spotted a mile off, some are very plausible and we only realise when the goods do not actually turn up or are radically different from what is promised that we smell a rat.

Very nearly once - was asked to advertise in a magazine that had a massive circulation on the premise that 50% of the money paid went to charity - luckily managed to contact the actual charity who were supposed to be the beneficiaries to hear it was nothing to do with them! Close escape...

What's particularly sad about a lot of these scams is that they target the elderly, when aimed at individuals, and the most vulnerable small businesses when aimed at businesses - the two who can least afford to lose sums of money
