Hi Sasha

Having looked into this in the past, it seems to be vary very much depending on their experience, portfolio and also the nature of the work that is required. Generally that which requires some sort of interaction / scripting will be more expensive than an animation that runs the same each time.

You might be looking at around £40-£50 an hour for a good Flash developer.

Just going through some ooold posts... but I reckon that you'd be looking at around £50 an hour for literally something that takes an hour or two, or perhaps £250 per day.

For a big company that does Flash rather than an individual then you could easily be looking at £500 per day.

Yes, that sounds about right.

When I've had bits and pieces of flash needed (basic stuff) then I got charged £45 per hour and used the services for two sets of half days for a couple of flash buttons and that sort of thing.

I believe you can probably get students or those looking to build up a portfolio to do it for free so if you are prepared to take a risk and have no budget that might be the way to go.

Read an interesting article today - Flash is less and less popular because google's latest update makes speed of a site much more important than before. As Flash is so sloooooow to load that means Flash sites are plummeting in the rankings and therefore are no longer wanted by any savvy website owner.
