Good year or bad year?...

So, over half way through the credit crunch year of doom now!

Hopefully everyone here who started the year running a business are still doing so and have not had too many problems.

Be interesting to hear any stories of how you're all doing with your small business this year in this climate.

Haven't noticed any difference to usual really.

I think most of this recession is down to media hype, and they've gone on about it so long that they're doing their best to make it happen.

Meantime the world carries on as normal.

I have had a good year so far - I haven't noticed anything particularly "terrible" happen with this gruesome sounding credit crunch.

I think if you are sensible about how you manage your projects and your business then it should have little effect.

Personally its been a bit all over the place, due to the global recession having a big effect on the exchange rates and weakness of the Pound.

Is the pound going to go up or down against the dollar in the next few months do you think? We all seem to be resigned that it is going to hit parity with the Euro and all our holidays to the continent are going to cost a fortune!

Interesting to see people's thoughts on this! I have heard that the number of small businesses going into administration and folding this year has increased relatively to other years, though I can't find the actual figures...
