Government and small business tax breaks...

OK everyone, the government is talking a good game when it comes to potential tax breaks for small business but will they ever actually come?

The reality is that this government has taxed small businesses to the hilt - so no wonder in these tough trading conditions they are laying people off and can't take more people on.

Why doesn't the government do something useful like raise the VAT limit from its current ridiculously low level or reduce heavily corporation tax for small business.

After all the only reward a small business gets for getting through these tough times and actually still trading is for the government to whip off 20% of any profit it actually manages to make - scandalous, no?
