Hi! Please help my construction business!...

I have a question to ask people about how to get more work for my business.
I have been the manager of a construction company for over 20 years. We specialise in dry rot, rising damp control, timber treatment, structural repairs and basement tanking. I have advertised in numerous ways over the years, mainly returning to yellow pages time and time again. However, I really want to get better jobs in, both in quality and quantity. The jobs I mainly want to be involved with on a full time basis is structural repairs and basement tanking, although anything to do with damp works is also what I am seeking.
Is there any thoughts about how to attract this type of work? I have put a website together, sign written my van, advertised in the yellow pages etc for years (most recently rated tradesmen) , but what I really want are the jobs in basement tanking. I am a bit clueless on how to do this. It is frustrating for me as I have years and years of experience and me and my team can do the job ten times better and more efficiently then the competitors!
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Hi overbaord.
First thing I would do is to research the market--find companies who require this type of service firstly-such as maybe large hotel chains and restaurant chains, hospital groups--and companies like this perhaps.
If you can get uin with these people say for general construction works and then if they also want basement tanking you can do it for them. Also if people dont know about you they cannot use you.
Get in touch with all the major hotel chains and restaurant chains--as in some cases they rent their buildings they operate from or lease them-so if you can gert hold of the property management companies who own these sites it may be an avenue of not only making them aware of your services, but also may lead to further business opoortunities with them.
Hope this is some help to you

Estate agents love contacts like you. They frequently need a reliable, quick, good value specialist to put their buyers concerns about damp et all to rest.

Build up a good relationship, give each member of the sales team a bottle of wine for Christmas. dont just drop off your business cards and leave.
