Holiday Luggage...

Hi there im new to this so be gentle with me.
Does anybody out there take city breaks in the UK?
Or go on holiday in the UK by train?
Or some other way without using a car?
Would anybody consider sending their luggage on ahead of them to their destination so they would be free of the stress of humping cases & bags to a train station or coach stop?
I have the facility to send a case or bag up to 20kg anywhere in the UK nextday for as little as £15 One way.
It could be picked up from your home, place of work & delivered to your holiday destination.
Please be honest with me.If it is a good idea where would I start? How do I offer my service? Any Help.

I think the risk is that most people go on holiday in the UK for budgetary reasons and therefore they would be sensitive to paying an extra £30 per person.

I can see this service being useful for some people, but quite how you tap into that market... I'm not sure. If people are driving to their destination this would not be of much use, therefore as you say something like those taking a train might benefit most from this.

The thing is they need to be sure that you are a reputable company and won't lose their baggage, therefore they would presumably want to see some sort of guarantee to cover them if their baggage is lost and information on insurance against this etc...

Probably there also isn't much margin to be made, as people may not be prepared to pay too much for this service even though it is useful as Astaroth has stated above...

Hi Vanman

Just to add my thoughts to this - yes, I could see that this would be a useful service.

However my concern is around whether people would be willing to take the risk that they may lose their baggage and would the service work and actually get it there for them. Therefore whilst it's a pain I think I might be tempted to have the luggage with me!
