What exactly is guerrilla marketing... is that one of those terms that gets bandied around but doesn't mean much?

I did see the link but I'm lazy and want it summarised for me in a few of your own words please unique to this site

I prefer gorilla marketing... get a member of staff to dress up in a gorilla outfit and go around the local shopping centre handing out business cards.

It's unusual and more importantly it is pretty effective!

That's an interesting mental image there Chris!

As for the question about gorilla marketing, I think small businesses want this:

- Marketing that is cost effective
- Marketing that is proven to work if done correctly
- Marketing where they can see the impact on the bottom line

The problem is that it is very hard to see if marketing is working apart from online, which is why things like adwords are so attractive for small businesses - at least you can see if they are working or if you are just wasting your money.

Business owners don't want 'guerilla marketing' they want more customers, profits, a better lifestyle, more time etc What they want and what they need are often entirely different

Guerrilla Marketing can work for big and small businesses...

It's my opinion that guerilla marketing may work for different types of companies whereas say something like email marketing services might be best for others. It really depends on what the company is trying to accomplish in terms of what kind of audience they want to attract and how the company will communicate with their fanbase once they have them.

Your thoughts?
