Is this an effective sales letter???...

Dear Sir / Madam,

Contact centre work is enjoyable.

Wait, wait… this is not a typo. Let me repeat….

Contact centre work is enjoyable.

Now, I know you don’t hear that everyday, and here is why…

“I lack emotional reward”… “It isn’t stimulating”… “Where for art thou meaning in this headset and flat screen”…

You have been told over and over that your work is not worthwhile. Every time somebody comes, under performs and leaves, you are being told that you do not give them what they want. Yet you proclaim…

“Look at our facilities….” “Check out our employee packages…” “Consider your development prospects…”

You have been bullied into believing that your work has nothing to offer but the packaging it is wrapped in.

Nonsense.

Your problem is not the work your provide. Your problem is how it is perceived. So let’s perceive differently. How about….

1. Customer service is human interaction.

2. Human interaction is meaningful and emotionally rewarding.

Therefore,

3. Customer service is meaningful and emotional rewarding.

This is called logic. And it cuts straight to the bone. The fact is, your work is actually hugely desirable. We are social creates and we love human interaction. More than that, we love harmonious and productive human interaction.

Your work has all the ingredients to be desirable and sought after - your problem is that your workers are not engaging in their work with OUR perspective. OURS, because you now see.

And so will your employees. You need them wake each morning and be tripping over themselves to get to do your work.

I will show your employees how to interact harmoniously and productively with your customers and they will LOVE IT. This is what they want. They want meaning, reward and stimulation and I will give them it all, and much more.

I am a one man enterprise evolving call centres and their staff. Although I have had a lot of interest, my options will remain open until I am certain I am working with only the most progressive companies available to me.

I will contact you soon, but please do contact me if you are interested.

Yours faithfully,

Me!

Am by no means an expert at sales letters, but I wonder if this is a bit long?

I've always tried to condense everything into a one-pager as I don't think people will want to spend too long reading a sales pitch (assuming it's unsolicited and not a warm lead).

Hi Mindatrisk

Was this useful feedback? What feedback did you get elsewhere?

Hi,

It seems to start off on a negative note saying why the tasks are not enjoyable.

By the time you arrive at the good parts, you are already feeling pretty low.

If it is a good package then there is no need for the hard sell, let it speak for itself.
