Isn't it strange???...

Isn't it strange that at a time when the credit crunch is biting really hard, successful businesses are actually spending to bring in new custom and to maintain current custom.

We are an entertainment agency specialising in supplying DJ's and acts for specific hotels and licensed venues and have found that we had our most successful ever December and January (2.5 time up on the last financial year) because our clients are having to spend to attract custom.

Are any of you out there experiencing similar situations?

My Communications business was actually started during the credit crunch! I think because of our low prices, we're able to attract small businesses that normally wouldn't allocate budget spend to Public Relations.

Lots of companies look to market more during times when business is harder to come by, I think it's just one of those things that seems counter intuitive but does make sense when you think about it!
