Low cost marketing ideas...

Hi. I am writing some "how to" manuals aimed at the business community. The manuals are still being edited .... but whilst this is occuring I am trying to find ways in which I can market the material.

I have come across www.growingbusiness.co.uk which provides new entrepreneurs to market their products. Can anyone help me with other websites I should research.

Thanks

I don't know which sites you should visit, but posting the address of your own site is probably one of the worst ways of endearing people to your products or services!

Hi Ajordan

One simple thing you could do would be to add your name and more details about your services and what you offer to your profile here. I see it has had 15 visits already so that's 15 chances to let other people know about your service and what you offer.

Also add an entry to the business finder here if you've not done so already.

Hope this helps,

Dan

Hi Ajordan

There are literally hundreds of article directories out there which contain many, many articles on and about business and various aspects of business.

I would suggest that you spend some time concentrating on ways to differentiate your offering from all the others so that you offer something fresh and unique - that will be the best way to drive up usage of your manuals.

Good luck!

Just noticed the new members services forum here, so for those of you who already have a clearly defined product or service (e.g. not me!) then it would seem to make sense to all take advantage of that facility.

A simple method is to just sit down and work out very carefully who is your ideal audience - what sort of people do you want to reach?

Once you have that sorted, you have half the battle won as you then just need to reach them(!) The first part many people skimp on or gloss over which means whatever method they choose it is a little scattergun. Focus on that part first, and then ask "how do I get my message in front of people who are so-and-so"...

Lots of good marketing can be done for free without spending any budget at all. Particularly online there are many, many forums and directories that you can list your business in for free, and also write articles - you never know when this will lead to business in the future!
