My contract and notice period...

Hi all,

Last year the company I worked for was acquired, my contract states that I was to give three month notice period if I wanted to leave. The new company promoted me nearly two months ago to account director but still haven't yet given me the contract to sign (the new contract would be a 1 month notice period)

Now.....here's the thing, I want to leave. I've been offered a dream job somewhere else......

I have signed the new commission sheet and I'm on the new pay scale but I'm yet to put that ink on the paper on my new contract. If I hand in my notice am I still stuck in this old 3 month notice contract or can I say that I'm only prepared to work 1 month as per everyone else who is at the company?

Any advise would be welcomed.
Thanks
