I have a website of my own and I am thinking of selling products online that will particularly deal in books and would be selling all kinds of books. There is no online integrated payment option yet but I am thinking of doing this and so would like to know your opinions on that!

It is very good that you are starting an online shop. I had a friend of mine who had an online shop which had a third party handling the payment system. But, later on he had his own system for the payment and had used the services of SSL Star for the purchase of SSL Certificates that provide security in terms of the information submitted by the user. GeoTrust, Verisign and RapidSSL are some of the trusted providers of this certificate.

Hi Daniel,

Paypal is the most common and convenient payment option, people who use ebay or online shopping should have paypal account but you have to pay 3.4% of each transaction. Others you can think about payment gateway, streamline, google checkout, Nochex, wordpay and etc.

Our company do provide e-commerence service, free feel to contact us if you need any information.

Use a free shopping cart tool from somewhere like mals ecommerce (search on google for more info) and combine with a paypal account and you can get a real system that looks nice up and running for no cost at all!

Agree with the advice above!

What sort of product are you proposing to sell, what is its cost (or range of costs) and what volume do you anticipate selling? This info could help us give a reply as to what would work best for you.

If you go with paypal make sure to sign up for the Bussiness account (its free) and I think saves you about 2% per transaction.
