I was wondering whether the massive cost (effectively) for the Brits in dollar and euro trading is affecting outsourcing?

Since most companies pay in dollars when they use outsourced services is it now not a lot more expensive to outsource than to actually bring jobs back onshore? As costs of outsourcing have effectively increased 25 - 30% for all those companies that use dollars or euros.

Outsourcing is not a good idea now for the exact reason that Tim outlines above.

In real terms the cost of outsourcing has gone up whether you pay in euros or dollars with the British government having managed to ruin our currency (thanks Gordon Brown!)

Don't outsource at the moment!

Yes, surely all those companies that outsource or use freelancers who tend to charge in dollars must be feeling the pinch right now?
