Hi
I have 3 websites.
http://www.premierereplacementchina.com
http://www.premiere-books.com
http://www.premiere-costume-jewellery.com
With regard to regular content.Does this mean altering/changing/adding or all three to the home page or all the pages on my websites.
The last 2 have only been going since last December.
However Premiere Replacement China has been going since October.
I want to get more awareness and with this more sales.
Advice on the regular content please.
Thanks
Patricia

General consensus is that adding content regularly to websites, that is new and not just the same as on other sites, is an important element in gaining search engine traffic.

Not an expert by any means like some others here, however this does seem like common sense - the more updated a site the better and more relevant it is likely to be, all things being equal!

Ideally you would want to add or change content on as many pages as possible to get maximum exposure to the search engines as they tend to look for new or modified pages. However, the first priority would be the homepage of your websites. Have you thought about setting up a news section on the site or maybe setting up an RSS feed?

Content is king on the internet - and that is still the case. Even with video, this is just another form of content.

Write as much as you can whilst:

1) maintaining quality
2) having something interesting to say
3) having something relevant to say
3) having something unique to your website to say (eg not rehashed content or even worse repeat content from elsewhere)

I to am not an expert but I do have good resources.

If you have a blog why not invite guest writers to your site, for example ask your customers or book clubs if they would like to write a short review of books that they have purchased on your book site.

Or ask some of your suppliers to write something about their products.

It's a good idea to add content such as articles on a regular basis to increase the number of pages on your site, as long as they are original, of good quality, and relevant to the topics on your site. Also it is a good idea to update the text on key website pages every couple of months or so, in order to keep them timely... whilst most content may stay the same for several years (depending on the topic of your website) invariably there will be snippets of news, special offers etc that can change on your homepage from time to time to also keep it fresh.

I'm by no means an expert, but will simply second what someone else said - content is king on the internet; follow that maxim and I think you'll do ok!
