Resizing lots of images at once...

OK, I've now managed to resize a photo - I now have a folder full of massive ones from the digital camera (why are they always so big!??!)

Is there a way I can use this program to resize them all at once or do I need to do it one by one

Thanks!

Carl

Yes you can do this using irfanview. The key is to use the batch process options.

Go to file --> batch conversion from the menu. Then load in all your images. Then click 'set advanced options' and then choose the resizing options that you require. Then click 'start' and it'll chug away for a bit with the output being all your images automatically resized as per your requirements.

Particularly useful when you have hundreds of large images and want to reduce their size in one go!

Just to add to this you can take the pain out of a large number of repetitive image related tasks with irfanview - if you look at the 'advanced' options list when resizing a batch job of files you'll see just how much you can control for every image.
