SEO and targetting different search engines...

Hi all

One of my mates is starting off his own site, and looking for tips on the different approaches to take to get good rankings in the different search engines.

I know of lots of useful resources that focus on getting good listings in Google, but does anyone know of something similar for getting good listings on Yahoo or MSN?

Thanks

Tim

Hi Tim

The long answer, is, well very long - but there are things that you can do to target good listings in different search engines, and different engines are known to have slight biases and different emphasis on certain factors.

That said a full explanation would be quite lengthy - however a quick search on your search engine of choice will reveal lots of tips and ideas on what the particular search engines 'like' to see on your site

I have done bits and pieces of research looking into getting good rankings, and it seems like everywhere focusses on Google.

I've never come across any good advice for other search engines like Yahoo and MSN - perhaps no-one knows how to get good rankings on those search engines?!
