Hi folks

one of the ways I been shown to get more targeted traffic to my site is the use of a signature at the end of my posts

I understand that my posts should contribute to the discussion

the questions I have are...

this really a good way to generate traffic ?

what results are you getting ?

how many posts a day do you do ?

does this have anything to do with search engine positioning ?

Look forward to your reply's

wishing you every success in life and business

Yes, if you have a website it certainly makes sense to make use of the signature link facilities that most forums offer.

Hi Trafficmaster

Do you have any hints or tips on what you should put in your signature and how big it should be - particularly if you don't actually have a website to promote?

Thanks

Sarah

This looks pretty spammy - wouldn't spend time thinking about it Sarah!

In answer to your question, since most people do it, I guess there are benefits to be had from posting your web address in your signature.

However to the human reader of that post, if the post contributes nothing useful, then they are less likely to use or recommend the company / site being linked to than their previous neutral stance
