Forums that offer sound advice do well, spammers do not bother with a lot of these places as they incorporate the 'no-follow' attribute.

All I did was register my business details with 3 websites like this one and now I have about 25 spam mail's in my inbox everyday. It's just maddness all you end up doing is deleting them anyway, without even looking them.

You need to be make sure that the forums you register with don't display your email address publicly else it can be harvested easily.

Another tip for countering spam - set an email address specific to the site you sign up to, e.g. businessforum @ mydomain.com
