Staff must like the job, or we go bust too....

I have been talking to quite a number of people of late about the current recession, and I am told time and time again that some firms will collapse, that if run properly wouldn't do so.
Rude shop and repair companies who employ people who are not fit for the job, or maybe working in a job they hate, or the manager is not a very good example for people to follow is going to close some departments without doubt.
Only today Monday 16th of Feb I was in a computer shop looking round, when I heard a shop manager tell a customer he was rude by asking him if the order was ready to collect yet, the manager just jumped down his throat and said no it's not, stop pestering me.
The potential buyer simply just walked out the shop quite shocked.
Another reason I often find wrong if when people are being served by a lady at a till, then another young girl comes along and starts to chat over last weekend, or the next weekend pubs etc, events in town, I prefer the staff to give the attention to the buyer, is it me, or does this sort of thing upset others?
If firms do wish to survive, they need to make sure they have the right staff, make sure they have the right supplier's to buy from, and make sure the staff have a small amount of good manners, then most could get through the times ahead.

I agree that some of the companies who have been able to survive and been rude to customers will be shut down because people like myself will not shop in those places if I can find others to go with the same prices. I also think alot more companies will catch on and start virtually working. I know I work at home and see an increase in places who now do this kind of thing.
