UK Business Phone Directories...

Hi, I'm currently searching the internet for UK phone directories where I can download the information to a spreadsheet in excel form, any idea what website offers this service?

Not really possible in my experience; especially if you want good data. If you actually want a "phone directory" as a spreadsheet I think you are on a loser.

If you are looking for a dialling list then there are a lot of people who will sell you a list (start with the big boys like Experian and work from there but expect to pay 25p+ per address for good data). You can find some limited free business lists (e.g. the BFA does a list of franchisors) but you won't get the lot and you always get receptionists not decision makers.

If you are doing calling and are paying low wages, I have also heard of people taking an alternative cheapo route; use the Yellow Pages and get your callers to write the information into a CRM / spreadsheet as they go; that way you build your own database for an overhead you control.

Cold calling... my advice... don't do it... it could be me at the other end of the line wanting to hang-up!!!
