Windows 7 -what do you think?...

Has anyone else here got Windows 7?

Recently got a new computer and it's the first time I've used Windows 7.

So far I am quite pleased with it and it certainly seems better than Vista.

As ever it is too early to judge and a lot could go wrong... but so far, so good!

It's a big improvement on Vista.

I like the way that you can actually shutdown the computer without lots of submenus like you had to go through on vista!

Clearly microsoft actually learned from some mistakes with vista and made windows 7 a lot better.

I've managed to get 7 working via virtualisation on my Macbook of all things....

Agree with Chris, big big improvement on Vista, and a lot more stable.

I have just bought a new computer and it has windows 7 on it. I don't really know anything about operating systems but it seems good so far!

My system has been crashing a lot recently although apparently it is down the graphics card or motherboard rather than being software related.

It's a shame support phone numbers for major computer companies are not free... the calls cost a fortune and typically take an hour whilst you go through every option they can think of.

I have been using Windows7 since June and I concur with most people much better than Vista...
