Hi superpost,

Ideally vBulletin is better because they a more stable and hack-free program compared with phpBB. They are expensive but you pay for what you get.

The good thing about phpBB is they are free, so if you are test running a brand new forum to tes the outcome, is better using phpBB to try. When you have build a greater traffic or members, and then upgrade to vBulletin.
