Thanks for the links, I will take a look.

I did hear quite a bit about squidoo a few years ago, when there was general publicity for it and many were touting it as 'the next big thing'.

However I have heard very little of it since and believe it to have not proved itself to be so good after all and not generating anything of value for those who signed up and created a so-called lens on the site. Whether this is still the case I don't know.

Yes as you say squidoo was indeed touted as 'the next big thing' but it faded into obscurity when their pageranks started to plummet about 2 years ago.
