YOUR FEEDBACK PLEASE...

By way of some background I have worked for a very large supermarket and a mobile phone company in PR and Marketing.I won the best PR for the supermarket out of 300 stores in the UK, i also obtained £10,000 of free pr.


When I started working for a mobile phone company,were listed on Google only twice, I ensured that the business was listed on two full pages of Google approx 20 listings, they also reported over 1500 hits, from 850, this was within two months.

I also write press releases, organise events etc.

My business idea is to list any business in major business directories in the UK and Europe, either in your area of expertise or general.

I search all relevant UK newspapers and magazines for PR opportunities, i.e. if they are running a regular advice page, or similar in your business area, this also applies to local or National Radio/TV.

I am still trying to organise a suitable catchy name, as regards costs and charging companies for my services, I am thinking of an opening offer of £99, for this i will to list the companies in various directories and search for all the above opportunities, and complete a report.

Your comments / idea's would be most welcome.

Is it online business directories that you list businesses in, or are you talking about physical directories?

With regard the searching for suitable marketing opportunities for companies - such as advice columns they could submit to - is the idea that you then do the marketing/PR for the company or is it more a case of making them aware of that opportunity...

The price of £99 certainly sounds reasonable for what you suggest. I guess you will need to create a specific list of how many directories you will list the company in, so that people know exactly what they are getting for their money.

Also details of how comprehensive your search will be and how you will format/style the report and what it will contain would be useful information for people looking for this service.

I imagine you'll create a website once you've refined your offering to detail all the above anyway

And yes I will do the searching for PR ? Marketing opportunities, for aticles in the press and opportunities in TV/Radio.

Many thanks for your reply, It is difficult to give an exact amount of directories I can list a Company in.

What I can do, is the general listings in the major business directories, which include some of the major Blue Chip Companies, and then list in specific directories.

What I also do is research PR/Marketing opportunities in the Press, Radio/TV.
