It is not necessarily the government it is usually the Central Bank or sometime of institution that has a say over the central bank such as the FED in the US.

This is a very relevant and timely question, and demands of us a great amount of thought in the context of today's galloping inflation rate. Particularly people in poor and developing countries are hard hit by this syndrome. I in Nepal and we point of fact have no solutions to this ailment.

The biggest problem facing us today is hike in staggeringly galloping fuel prices. This is a highly subsidized commodity and the poor are not benefiting at all by such subsidies and this is a burden to poor nations.

I am from Nepal, a small country. Though small Nepal is geographically diverse and it has many types of climates available in different parts of the world. We are an agrarian economy. But not this rising inflation is pressing us hardly.
