I have been running a couple of shops on line for a few years now, but I have never ever found it is as quite as things are now.

Interesting... I wondered if the credit crunch would drive more people online to get cheaper prices and actually boost rather than reduce sales.

I have heard anecdotally some have had a good year so far and others a not so good year - which reflects perhaps that it depends what type of product each vendor is selling online.

I'm sorry to hear that, so now do you try to sell your products on more website?

One of my friends runs a moderately successful online clothing shop - I asked him how things were going and he says business is about the same levels this year as last year, so not really feeling the pinch yet.

I think certain sectors of society are tightening their belts but I would imagine that young people for example with no mortgages and still living at home are spending as much as ever on clothes etc. I would also imagine that the current climate will favour shops such as Primark and Lidle and Aldi as people seek out bargains.
