Legal issues of using images on a website...

Just a reminder or to those who haven't thought about it - if you use images on your website you must ensure that you aren't infringing any copyrights.

The simplest way to do this is to use your own pictures or those from a stock library of some sort.

If you use someone else's images and they find out about it you could be in for rather a large bill!

If anyone needs help sourcing suitable photos for their site, let me know.

Yes - and there's a massive choice of quality images you can get for minimal cost; currently from just $1 each at sites like www.istockphoto.com

I have personally used some images for free from the website www.sxc.hu - it has a very unmemorable name but you can't complain with the ability to get images for free!
