We have been running a company www.freewebstore.org ) that provides free online e-commerce stores to any one, company or individual, for the last 3 years. We have had much succes and now have customers across the globe. Most of our business comes on the back of people trialing the free sites and then upgrading, but this can take weeks. Does anyone have any ideas of how to turn them round quicker?

maybe present the purchase options on the front page, all I can see on the front page is "FREE"

I havnt spent a lot of time looking in depth, so you might be doing this already, very clearly advertise three packages, a "free" one, a "regular" one, and one "bells and whistles" package, stating the features of each.

My background is in data analysis, and currently beta testing our data analysis software on identifying buying characteristics of website visitors to target advertising and optimise e-selling. If you would be interested in working with me on a trial I would be pleased to oblige.

I have spent a lot of time explorer www.freewebstore.org.Your have a good designer, but your

marketing is bad.I found several problems.

1. Who is customer? Sell online don't need more computer knowledge. You can see the ebay,

any one can sell online, just click and click.Your want computer skill good man or want

everyone?

2. The free store only can post 15 Items.Cost Ł2.50 or $4.95 Monthly feed just post 30

Items! It is very poor. The online seller want sell many products online.

3. The domain name.Your system can support own domain name, However the domain manage must

himself! Why not support DNS turn to re-pointed? I think if your provide domain name

register, and auto unite website is well.

4. SEO!!! Your system can auto add products to google, but in google Shopping search only

see your domain name, the customer own domain name can't see.No matter what kind of

customers.(I means the free user or the Power Seller.)

5. why your server IP address frequent changes?

No, you are not giving away too much for free

For small business software a free basic service, or free trial is normal.

Just to add to what previous posters have said, it's a little odd that your (otherwise nicely done) Flash widget showing sample stores won't open the actual store in a new window, why not make the URL an active link? The first thing many people will do when they go to a site like yours is want to look at sample sites, so make it easy for them.

Certainly i do agree with you reset the settings and make it a user freiendly website
