Does the legal side put you off running a business?...

We all know there is loads of red tape that you have to get through continually when running a small business in the UK.

I'm interested to know if people have found it so much of a burden or disincentive that it has actively put them off forming a business, or have you found it actually OK to manage?

Appreciate any input you may be able to give!

I've found that once everything is up and running it is not too bad.

The key is to get great advice up front, and absolutely to get all your systems and everything organised as soon as you can. The longer you leave these things, the harder it gets down the line as you are too busy actually fire fighting and running your business day to day!

Hope this helps,

Sasha

I'll agree with Sasha, I've never looked back on running a business but have always asked for, and got, sound professional advice.

There's a lot of free information sheets available from Business Link - and it well worth downloading them to use as check-lists before you start.

Good luck
Lynn

Yes - pass what you need to on to an expert. You get good at many aspects when running a business, but a lot comes from experience - so at the start don't be afraid to get whatever help you can from those around you.
