Buying Mailing Lists...By: Thomas [3-April-07 9:57PM]109 posts |

Quick question: does anyone have access to a database of new start-ups in the London or Hampshire region, or if not know how much this sort of data would cost / where to get it?

This was asked a few weeks ago on another forum... but just trawled through several posts there and can't find the answer.

We have a confirmed database of 12,000 SME's but they are based across the UK not specific to a region. Not sure where you would find a mailing list for a specific area though.

It would be good to maybe have some sort of Business FAQ section here with questions and answers just like this, could become a useful resource... just an idea

Interesting suggestion Sasha - would be good to know what others thought about this?

Hi Im new on here and was just looking through the messages. You can obtain mailing lists from your local central library (or at least I know that Leeds City Library does them). You should ask to speak to the Business and Patents information Department and they will devise one tailored to your particular needs. For example by area, number of employees and annual turnover. It costs approximately 5p for each business and as it is tailored to your own needs it is relatively inexpensive.
