On a related note, I noticed recently that if you go towards the end of the ordering process with Vistaprint then leave, you get an email a few days later offering you even lower prices. Don't know if it was a coincidence but worth a try next time you need business cards!

Another tip is that if you do a search for business cards on Google and there are Adwords links, often these will lead to special offers on a site.

I just ordered some cards during the week and typing in the address of one supplier directly rather than clicking on the ad led to the price being doubled!

Yes I've noticed this in the past before.

If someone created a website listing all these little details when they came across them I reckon they would be very popular (and have a very well visited website!)

It would be really useful if there was a site that offered comparisons of prices for business services from different companies, such as business cards, printing costs etc etc - does anyone know of such a site?

It's an interesting idea - I think the difficulty would be collecting enough details from companies to make it a useful service; unless enough came and posted their details voluntarily of course!

True - as you say only useful if you get a critical mass of people who submit their details to it and there is some confidence that the tool is fairly accurate; perhaps that's why this hasn't existed to date!

It is worth spending a bit more to get personalised cards that look really good and contain your logo rather than generic cards - every small impression counts, so have a business card you are proud of handing out
