You can now add your current status to your About My Business profile, for instance:
"On a training course", "Taking a day off" or whatever it happens to be.

To access this feature, go to My Account, then click "Edit my current status":
http://www.aboutmybusiness.co.uk/editstatus.php

You can then enter or amend your Status and it will show at the top of your profile.

For Ecademy members, you can also optionally enter your ID number (the number at the end of your profile) and your profile will then also automatically show your Ecademy status too

Nice little feature... reminiscent of FaceBook

How about some sort of question and answers facility where people can ask or answer commonly asked business related questions?

A Q&A facility would be a nice idea - the problem is of course getting people who are experts in their field to answer the questions... getting a list of questions probably less of a problem

There are also several resources out there that offer this sort of facility that have a large head start...

Yes, just taken a look at it and see it hasn't been used apart from the few initial posts. Maybe take up will increase over time!

Looks like all these featured have up the membership, see a steady four or five people signing up each day now, or more

I'm not sure if they would get used, but what about the possibility of letting people create their own groups or club type facility? I guess it might be quite tricky to do... but worth considering perhaps?

I do think that the more features the better, BUT only add something if it is going to get used.

A clubs / groups feature would be powerful and would drive more people to the site, if it were used. I know it's a bit chicken and egg as perhaps you have to add it first to see if it's going to get used!

I agree - and your comments are similar to those in a couple of the other forums about 'taking the next step' in terms of driving up traffic / percentage of user participation.
