Paying People for Content...

I just came across an information based website that pays people a matter of cents for posting a product review or details of products already in their database.

The site seems to be open to all, but is there a minimum age you can offer people money for reviews - for instance children, say under 12, can you pay them for this sort of content or is there a minimum 'adult' age you need to be to offer / pay for content?

I am not aware of any particular restriction online, however it would be prudent to check with a legal person I am sure they will be able to advise easily on this.

I'm also not aware of any restrictions on this, for what it's worth

I don't know the answer, but I have seen sites that do this and not notice any particular age restriction in place on them (not braved the usual twenty pages of Ts & Cs however!)

Tim - did you reach any conclusion on this in the end?

Why pay when you can write it yourself for free?

Just thought about this a bit more, and presumably if anyone under a certain age ticks acceptance to Ts and Cs I wonder if it actually counts, or whether a minor is considered not responsible enough to be able to decide on such matters?

It may be safest simply to stick with say 18s over only for that reason!
