Are mobiles the future of social networking?...

Just thinking - It will be interesting to watch the development of mobiles with regard social networking - for instance they will be able to tell you when you walk past a pub whether your mate is in there or not by linking up with positioning technology, something a website can't currently do!

Mobiles will offer the ability to tie in both geographical data and people data, making it potentially a very powerful medium... I reckon mobile social networking will be the thing of the future!

I heard an amusing one on the radio yesterday, about a new service that is called Sat-Lav that will tell you where the nearest public toilet is when you are out and about - actually sounds like quite a useful tool if you're desperate enough, as it were, at the time!
