Turning voice mails into text messages...

Hi all

Just read about a service that lets you receive your voicemails as text messages instead of, well, as voicemails.

However I can't see any purpose, point or market to this... am I missing something?

They had that on the Gadget Show on Five yesterday. Think the point is that you don't have to struggle trying to jot down a message, having to listen to it numerous times to make sure you have got it right etc instead you get a nice easy to read text message that won't get deleted until you decide.
